Warwick Farm galloper MANDALONG MISSILE is on a roll of late and looks a super chance of bringing up the hat-trick today. Last start, the Smart Missile filly came off her maiden win at Goulburn (over the mile) when she franked that effort by taking out a Class 1/Maiden Plate at Canberra over the longer 2000m trip. Coming from back in the field that day, she recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for that race. This looks no harder and with Alysha Collett on board for the first time, she looks every chance on making it three-straight today.

Race 7:  No.1  HONEYSUCKLE CHOICE  ($3.70 with Ladbrokes)

Goulburn-based galloper HONEYSUCKLE CHOICE is no stranger to the track and dropping sharply in grade today, looks a genuine winning chance here. Last start, the Choisir mare had a Heavy 10 to deal with and up against BM64 company, found the task a bit too much, finishing down the track in the 1100m contest at Hawkesbury. Today, the stable have put the blinkers back on the seven-year-old and despite the weight rise here, she should find the conditions here more favourable. She gets weight relief from a 3kg claim and has placed twice in three visits to the track. With a trouble-free run today, she will beating here.

Race 4:  No.5  HARDERTHANTHEREST  ($5 with Palmerbet)

The Keith Dryden-trained HARDERTHANTHEREST is third-up today and on the improve, looks a likely candidate for the winner’s purse today. Last start, the All Too Hard mare showed a marked improvement when second-up, she finished just behind the placegetters in a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m at Goulburn. She ran her last 600m, 1.7 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best last-start effort here. This BM50 looks a little easier and the 3kg claim can only enhance her chances today. She gets the gun-run from gate one and is capable of giving this a real shake today.
