BEST BET 🏆

Race 10:  No.13  THINK ABOUT IT  ($3.60 with Ladbrokes)

Joe Pride saddles-up THINK ABOUT IT here and there’s plenty to like about his chances of victory. Last start, the So You Think gelding made it back-to-back wins when he travelled wide most of the way but still proved too strong for them, taking out a BM78 Hcp over 1350m at Rosehill. Sam Clipperton was aboard for both winning rides and has the reins again for this contest. He will need a little luck from his gate but with a trouble-free run and a clear run to the line, he can get the job done and bring up the hat-trick here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 4:  No.4  BOLD MAC  ($6 with Palmerbet)

The Chris Waller-trained BOLD MAC is in great touch this time in and is looking for back-to-back success in this contest. Last start, the NZ-bred gelding landed his fifth career win from 16 starts when he beat home a BM88 field over 1500m at Rosehill. He ran his last 600m, 6.2 lengths quicker than benchmark that day and posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals as well. J.Mac was having his first ride on the five-year-old and sticks with him here. He is yet to crack it for a win here but he is meeting similar company over just 100m further in distance and does look a genuine contender for the major prize.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.7  TITANIUM POWER  ($7 with Neds)

The Joe Pride-trained TITANIUM POWER has rung up two wins this time in and looks poised for another victory here. Last start, the So You Think gelding came of a big win at Rosehill when he tackled the Listed Carrington Stakes, here over 1400m. He led on settling and looked set to lead all the way, but was collared in the final 50m, hanging on for third prize across the line. That was his fifth start this preparation and here, he drops back to the 1200m journey where he should be at his peak. Stepping up to Group 3 level, he has the gate speed to cross and lead again with Tim Cook back aboard. Left alone in front to dictate terms. He is quite capable of stealing this event.
