BEST BET 🏆

Race 5:  No.4  FRUMOS  ($3 with bet365)

The Chris Waller-trained FRUMOS is third-up here and should be ready to produce in this contest. Last start, the American-bred mare finished a close-up fifth (beaten just on a length) in a BM78 Hcp at Randwick over 1400m. She ran home well enough to record her last 600m, 3.4 lengths quicker than benchmark. Already a winner third-up and at the track, She gets the gun-run from gate one here and has Nash Rawiller aboard for his first ride on the mare. All three career wins has come on rain affected tracks so the scene looks set for a big effort here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 3:  No.4  TRUE CRIME  ($7 with Palmerbet)

The Kim Waugh-trained TRUE CRIME resumes off a 21-week break here and on fresh legs looks a genuine winning chance here. Last preparation, the Sooboog gelding was on fire, finishing top-three in his first three runs when he struck trouble at his last start and finished out of the money in a BM72, here over 1300m. He was then spelled and has since won a Wyong trial in his return to work. He won first-up last time in and has Jay Ford in control for this assignment. Sporting a tongue tie for the first time here, he is already a winner at this level and looks in the mix again.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 10:  No.6  SUPER PURSUIT  ($6 with TAB)

Warwick Farm-based galloper SUPER PURSUIT is third-up here and looks well placed to win. Last start, the Proisir gelding came from well back to finish just behind the placegetters in a BM88 over 1200m at Randwick. He ran that out, 4.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, second-best only to Constant Flight (who sees the Rosehill track for the first time). Conditions look ideal with the gelding yet to miss a top-three finish from five starts (winning three of them) on rain affected tracks. Josh Parr has the reins for this assignment and fitter for two runs back, the six-year-old can give this a real shake.
