Race 2 No. 14 QUICKSTER- ($1.65)

Giving QUICKSTER another chance in Race 2. We were keen on the Moody/Coleman filly when she resumed at the Lakeside circuit on February 21 and she closed off well behind Fury, putting a five length gap on the rest of them. The daughter of Shamus Award went 1.2 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. She was luckless at Group 2 level when second up at her initial preparation. This looks to be her race.

Race 7 No. 5 ORACLE SON- ($11)

Looking for improvement from ORACLE SON in Race 7. The four-year-old stepped out of a spell at Flemington on February 24 and settled handy over the 1100m before fading late into 9th position. At the second run of his last campaign, the Phillip Stokes-trained galloper improved six lengths on benchmark figures to score at Murray Bridge before performing well in a series of runs in Melbourne. A two-time winner at the distance, he will look to cross from the draw and should be in it for a long way.
