Race 1 No. 9 QUICKSTER ($1.86) 

QUICKSTER should have enough class to prevail in the opener at Sandown. The Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman-trained galloper displayed talent at her initial preparation, which culminated with a 7th behind Joliestar in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at what was just her third career start. She was excellent on debut with a runner-up performance over the 1200m at Pakenham before placing 4th behind Skybird at Group 2 level at Moonee Valley over the 1600m when unlucky. This is a massive class drop and we can expect her to be swallowing them up late in the piece.

Race 6 No. 1 BRAZEN KINGDOM ($3) 

Keen on BRAZEN KINGDOM in Race 6. Another from the Moody/Coleman yard, the four-year-old resumed with a 3rd at the Lakeside circuit on February 7 over the 1400m. He settled back in a slowly run affair before working home strongly out wide, producing the fastest last 200m to land a length of Warlords. Second up last preparation, the son of Iffraaj improved significantly on benchmark figures when going from a Maiden win on the Pakenham Synthetic to a 3rd in this grade at Lakeside. He should be hard to hold out at the business end.

BEST VALUE 💰   

Race 8 No.10 TANGO JEWEL ($7.50) 

Willing to go with TANGO JEWEL in the final race of the day. The consistent galloper has placed in all four runs this time in and just went down late in the piece in a BenchMark 70 at Moonee Valley over the 1200m on January 27 behind Miss Take. It was a similar story at her starts prior over the 1300m at Sandown when runner-up. The front runner might get the favours in front in this race and should be full of fitness.
