Race 3 No. 8 SABRE PRINCESS – ($2.70)
SABRE PRINCESS can make it back to back wins when she steps out in Race 3 of the day. The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained galloper stepped out off an eight-week break at Geelong on August 3 and settled back in the field of 12 before rattling home late to defeat Jenni Bad Cat. She had excuses at her run prior to that, while she was a solid runner-up in a strong form race at Ballarat over the 1400m when fresh. The daughter of Sebring went 0.2 lengths slower than standard last time, which are the second best last start figures of any runner, while she should have scope for improvement with the fitness in the tank.

Race 7 No. 7 SANDY PRINCE – ($4.80)
SANDY PRINCE can go close in the final race of the day. The promising four-year-old from the Ben & JD Hayes camp resumed from a spell at Caulfield on July 23 over the 1200m and settled handy in a strongly run affair before sticking on well to finish 6th, beaten just over a length by Big Apple. He went nine lengths faster thanks standard benchmark in that race and drops in grade for this, while at his previous second up run he was winner on the Heavy at Moe before producing some big runs in town around the likes of Forgot You. With even luck in the run from the wide barrier, he can take this one out.
