Race 3 No. 2 VALIANCY- ($4.20)

VALIANCY can get the job done in the Vale Dean Holland Stakes. The Maher/Eustace galloper has had the five career starts and is unbeaten this preparation in two runs. She won easily at Terang in a BenchMark 58 over the 1200m when resuming before jumping to a BM70 and getting the bob on the line at Sandown over the 1200m ahead of Who Dares. That pair gapped the rest. The daughter of Shooting To Win drew wide that day and is in the same barrier again. Look for her to work across and be strong late in the piece.

Race 9 No 12 MEGAMEA- ($7)

MEGAMEA shapes as a solid chance in Race 9 of the afternoon at Sandown. The Luke Oliver-trained galloper was an improver when getting out to the 1400m second up, just missing out behind Good And Proper at the Lakeside circuit on April 15. The six-year-old should be nearing her peak and performs well third up, while she gets in on the minimum weight. Jye McNeil rides and the pair draw perfectly in barrier 4.

Race 10 No.2 TRUST IN ROSIE- ($16.20)

Best Value comes up in the final race of the day and BARBIE’S FOX can go close at the double figure odds. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained galloper resumed at Sandown on April 8 and was posted back in the early stages before producing the fastest splits from the 800m to the 200m, just fading at the business end to place 3rd behind Foxicon. The six-year-old should take improvement off that effort and gets the large claim for Laura Lafferty.
