Race 6 No. 14 WICKED ADDICTION – ($4.80)

Don’t mind seeing WICKED ADDICTION drawn out, so long as they do push forward on the horse. He’s a very big striding type who won’t mind a bit of room to move through the early stages. Justin Potter did come back off the speed with Wicked Addiction with the field only going at an even gallop over this track and trip. Wicked Addiction loomed ominously by the top of the straight before being run down in the shadows of the line. Potter found himself a long way out of his ground before Wicked Addiction ran home okay in a harder race at Gawler last start. Local trainer Kym Healy has gone for three-kilo claim of Nichola Yuen, and there does not appear to be a great deal of speed drawn inside them.

Race 3 No. 13 LUNESSA ($4.40)

We’ll follow LUNESSA who we marked as a horse of interest following a recent review of racing at Strathalbyn Racecourse. The Phillip Stokes trained filly found herself being taken on for the front spot early. They ran along at a good gallop before Lunessa shook off the challenger into the straight. She looked all but home, only to succumb to the late finishing burst of Pretentious Diva. This maiden reads as considerably stronger on paper; however, Lunessa has been favoured by the barrier draw. Kayla Crowther will have the option to kick-up from that inside draw or to settle in behind the pressure which has drawn out wide.

Race 5 No. 2 TALES OF CONFLICT ($11)

The inside gate could prove a little tricky for Jade Doyle to negotiate as she rides TALES OF CONFLICT on Wednesday. The pair didn’t find a lot of room through the early to middle stages when resuming at Balaklava. They did go quickly out in front with both the leader and second-placed runner giving a kick into the straight. Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle then found a race for Tales Of Conflict second-up at Naracoorte. Doyle soon had the horse out the back early. They found no room to improve along the fence with horses coming back onto them as the pressure came on. Tales Of Conflict was okay to the line and will have taken benefit from the run.
