BAZINGA BAZINGA can go close in Race 7 at Stony Creek. The Clayton Douglas-trained galloper has had two starts this time in for a win on resumption at Mornington before heading to Moonee Valley and battling into 4th position behind Sparring. BenchMark 58 looks like it should suit and he comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner, despite dropping out of it at the Valley. At Mornington, the son of Magnus went 0.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are better figures than what any horse in this race has produced. A firmer in the early betting, he should enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 2.

Race 3 No. 2 LOCHEND UMOSA- ($8)
LOCHEND UMOSA can break the maiden in Race 3. The five-year-old is yet to win in nine career starts but came close last time at Bairnsdale when attempting to lead all the way before going down in the last stride behind Mungo Jerry. She went 4.9 lengths slower than standard benchmark in that race, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. She can cross from the wide gate early on and will take some running down.
