MIDNIGHT POKER can make it two career wins from as many starts when she lines up in the final race of the day. The Alex Rae-trained filly lined up over the 1000m at Stony Creek on January 18 and settled handy in the run before clearing out to defeat Just Bolts in what was a strong debut. She was solid to the line, producing the fastest last 200m and the slight step to the 1100m shouldn’t be an issue. Dakotah Keane rides and claims the 2kg.

Race 5 No. 5 TORONADO’S SISTER ($6.50) 

TORONADO’S SISTER is a solid player in Race 5. The three-year-old was a dominant winner at Terang in a Maiden two starts ago before stepping up to this grade at Cranbourne and finishing runner-up behind Foxpath over the 1000m. She settled just worse than midfield and ran on strongly to just miss out, going five lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. This looks no harder and she might have a bit of upside to come at her third run this time in.
