Race 7 No. 5 GARRIRE ($7)

Lachlan Neindorf found a good spot around midfield and one-off the fence aboard GARRIRE as the field strung right out here last start. Neindorf got on his bike early to come out and chase the tearaway leader with Garrire hitting the front prior to straightening. This proved to be a winning move from Neindorf as Super Alana followed him in to challenge from the top of the straight. A battle royale ensued amongst the two horses who came right away from the rest. Garrire got the upper hand close to the line before getting the nose down in the photo. That was a thin race compared to this; however, we did back Super Alana as our best bet when she came out to score in a stronger race since at Balaklava. Impressive stable apprentice Ivy Lam comes on now to claim her four kilos and bring Garrire right in amongst the finish again.

Race 4 No. 11 LADY SKYLLA ($11)

Local trainer David Jolly has found another maiden at home for LADY SKYLLA who ran a nice race here on debut. The speed went right on out in front as Sophie Logan allowed Lady Skylla plenty of time to find her feet. Lady Skylla responded under Logan to come out and chase without anything towing her into the race. She had to move a long way from home off a strong gallop in order to be some sort of chance into the straight. The filly continued on gamely to run fourth to signal her ability. Lady Skylla will have come on from that run and has drawn ideally towards the middle for Logan on Wednesday.

Race 3 No. 12 SIESTA DREAM ($11)

We marked locally trained Strathalbyn galloper SIESTA DREAM as a horse of interest following a recent review from Murray Bridge. The filly had pinged the lids to lead a recent trial under apprentice rider Brooke King at Oakbank. She went all the way to score in reasonable time for King before trainer Grant Kluske sent her to Murray Bridge first-up. She jumped sharply again before Justin potter asked her to come back to around midfield from their outside gate. Siesta Dream remained on her lonesome towards the outer part of the track with all the action happening back to the inside. She continued to make ground out wide in the race won by A Samurai Mind over 1200m. Kluske gets her out to 1350m on her home track to where Siesta Dream has drawn favourably under Kayla Crowther.
