Race 1 No. 3 NO ENTITLEMENT- ($3)

Felicity Atkinson very nearly stole the show at Strathalbyn when she slipped away on turning with NO ENTITLEMENT. She had the benefit of a run under her belt in Mildura before Alexander Justice sent her around at home. There appeared to be some depth in her maiden and No Entitlement had stolen a winning march prior to straightening. It took a handy type in Jilladora to make her way around the strung-out field to nail No Entitlement in the last few bounds. The mare held the rest at bay and meets a similar field over the same track and trip. Drawn ideally again while we’re also expecting similar track conditions on Wednesday.

Race 4 No. 3 LAST GIRL LOVE – ($4.60)

Tony and Calvin McEvoy took off for Melbourne leaving smart mare LAST GIRL LOVE in the care of Jon O’Connor. We backed her off a let-up last prep when she hit the front early over 1250 metres on the Parks track. We actually thought she held out the late dive of Miss Langtry to win the race. The judge who looked at the photo however confirmed otherwise. Last Girl Love then stepped out over a mile running a credible race behind Illation in the Morphettville Guineas. We’ll put a line through her first-up effort in town this prep where she pulled-up lame. O’Connor applies the blinkers and Jason Holder can bring her with one run up the middle.

Race 5 No. 9 JACK’S A CRACKER – ($14)

Grant Young finds a race that’s a fair step back in class for three-time track and distance winner JACK’S A CRACKER. He looked the only speed on paper when racing over 1800 metres at Murray Bridge three back where he led everywhere except the post. Jack’s A Cracker found a good kick into the straight under Ben Price to look home until Neva Doubt Us dived at him late. Pay to forgive his latest couple and Teagan Voorham can get him home for bragging rights over her fellow apprentices.
