Race 1 No. 11 ANDIRON- ($4)

We open up with a Maiden over the 1200m and ANDIRON can go close at his fourth career start. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained galloper has been thereabouts in his three runs and settled towards the rear on the Pakenham Synthetic on October 16 over the 1200m before running home for 4th behind Deekay. He should have landed a bit closer as he was held up when building momentum at the 300m. Winner out of that has gone on to blitz his rivals in a BenchMark 64, while Andiron went 4.6 lengths slower than standard, which is better than what any horse in this race has produced. Blinkers go on and he has drawn well in barrier 2 with Laura Lafferty to ride.

Race 4 No. 2 MR BROWN FOX- ($5.50)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for MR BROWN FOX. The eight-year-old has had three runs this Tim in and was runner-up in a BenchMark 58 at Narrandera two starts ago before heading to Echuca and running 4th in a 0-64 behind Tori’s Dee. He was posted wide without cover in that race but stuck on well to 2.5 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are better figures than what any horse in this race has produced in the past two years. He will settled handy from barrier 7 and we can expect to see the son of Myboycharlie fighting out the finish.
