Race 5: No.5 GOLDEN POINT ($2.90 with bet365)
Armidale galloper GOLDEN POINT resumes from a six-month absence today but still looks the goods for the Rush. Last start, the Bull Point gelding came off a close-up third in a Class 3 Hwy Hcp at Randwick when she faced similar company in a similar affair over 1400m at Rosehill. On a Good 4 that day, she finished best to grab the money, carrying 56;5kgs. He ran that out, 2.7 lengths quicker than benchmark, a new personal best and the best effort in this line-up. The boxes are ticked here. Already a winner on fresh legs and a winner at the track and distance, from an ideal draw in gate two, he will take beating today.

Race 4: No.8 SUSSU ($3 with Palmerbet)
The Stephen Jones-trained SUSSU was impressive on debut and looks set to go one better today. Last start, the Panzer Division mare had her first race start where beat all but one home in a 1000m Maiden at Scone. She ran her last 600m, 6.4 lengths slower than benchmark, the second-best here behind Hot Wok (who draws wide today). Ideally drawn in gate three, the four-year-old mare looks well placed in this field and with Brooke Stower aboard, can get the job done today.

Race 3: No.7 CANDY KISS ($5.50 with Unibet)
Muswellbrook galloper CANDY KISS returns for a second crack at the Tamworth track today and in her latest form, she can give this contest a real shake. Last start, the So You Think mare was unwanted in the market ($18) when she pulled off a surprise win in a Class 1/Maiden over the mile on a heavy Taree track. She ran the trip out, 6 lengths slower than benchmark, the second-best here behind China Grove who is badly out of form this preparation. Mikayla Weir was aboard for that last-start win and is in control again today. Nicely drawn in gate five, the mare maps to settle near mid-field and finding clean air on straightening, she will take beating here.
