Going with COUNT ZERO in Race 4 of the day. The eight-year-old tackles the steeples and got out to the 3000m last time at Sandown in a BenchMark 70, sticking on well for 7th behind Prince Ziggy. That should tune him up nicely for this and like what the Symon Wilde stable do with their jumpers.

Race 8 No. 9 MASAKO – ($7)
MASAKO should find this easier than recent runs. The Archie Alexander-trained galloper was a Geelong Maiden winner three starts ago then battled on the Heavy at Werribee after that. She struck a Soft track at Ballarat at her most recent start, finishing 6th behind Amati in a Benchmark 64, beaten five lengths. The four-year-old drops back to BenchMark 58 and should strike a firmer deck, while she does come in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner in this field.
