Race 4 No. 10 SCHILLER EFFECT.– ($4.20)
Willing to have a crack at SCHILLER EFFECT at his first run back from a spell. The Robert Hickmott-trained galloper showed promise at her initial preparation with a runner-up effort at Stawell on debut behind Invincible Missile before a luckless effort at BenchMark 70 level at Moonee Valley when 5th to Rioyuki. The daughter of Flying Artie obviously has some ability and one length slower than standard benchmark on debut before going 0.8 lengths faster. That is much better than what any of the other runners in this race have produced.

Race 7 No. 2 BELLMAN- ($3.80)
BELLMAN can improve off a first up effort that saw him finish 5th at Geelong on November 22. The Lindsey Smith-trained galloper settled handy that day and hit the front with 200m to go before just fading late behind Our Boy Bryan. The son of Bellardo will strip fitter for this and drops slightly in grade, while the 4kg claim gets him right down to a winnable weight.
