Local galloper HELL OF A BOY is in outstanding form this time in and looks the benchmark again today. Last start, the Eurozone gelding was at (almost) un-backable odds ($1.25) when he gave punters a real fright, just getting home in a Class 6 Plate, here over 1400m. In a four-horse race, he held off a strong challenge from Sea Echo, whom he meets here again, only meets him better at the weights today and draws inside him, giving him the better line at barrier rise. The up-and-coming apprentice Isabella Teh sticks with him here and with just 53kgs to carry today, he will take running down in this shorter contest.

Cairns trainer, Steve Massingham, saddles-up STYLE SEEKER here who is returning to Cluden Park, looking to go one better today. Last start, the Savabeel gelding was second-up when he was confronted with a Heavy 8 here and handled the conditions well to beat all but one home in a BM65 Hcp over the mile trip. Ryan Wiggins was aboard that day and is in control again for this contest. Third-up and fitter today, conditions again are wet and he should thrive with both career wins coming on wet tracks. The small field should also suit and he will take beating here today.
