Race 6:  No.4  ZABELLSARERINGING

David Blundell scratched ZABELLSARERINGING from Cowra yesterday to race him in this contest and after five runner-up finishes this campaign, surely his luck changes today. Last start, the Zariz gelding made it a hat-trick of second prize finishes when he beat all but one home in a BM58 over 1600m at Goulburn. Sent out the $2.80 favourite, he took over inside the final 200m and looked the winner but, alas, was grabbed by a fast-finishing swooper, leaving him with the silver medal, again. He is well-seasoned this campaign with seven starts behind him and has Kayla Nisbet back in search of her first win on the six-year-old. He maps to settle mid-field and with a clear run to the line, maybe he can pay back his loyal supporters and grab the big prize today.

Race 4:  No.2  MILLER TIME

The Donna Scott-trained MILLER TIME is third-up today and should be ready now to produce her best. Last start, the four-year-old mare raced three-wide without cover the entire trip and finished unplaced in a BM74 over 1000m at Tumut. Today, the stable fit a tongue tie on the mare for the first time and drop her back in grade as well, giving her every chance to bounce back and bring up her third career-win. Nick Heywood is the new pilot and from gate five, the mare maps to be on-speed again. Fitter for two runs back, and already a winner at the track and distance, she can get the job done in this easier contest.

Race 7:  No.13  SOOBOOGELISCIOUS  

Nick Olive saddles-up SOOBOOGELISCIOUS here who boasts a solid record against this grade of company and looks set to raise the roof in this contest. Last start, the Sooboog mare made it back-to-back podium finishes when she beat all but one to the line in a BM58 over 1408m at the Sapphire Coast. With Quayde Krogh aboard (for his eighth ride on the mare), she took over half way down the straight but was another who couldn’t see it out, grabbed by a late arrival in the last few bounds, spoiling the party for the four-year-old. She had her first look at the Wagga track four starts back where she took home second prize that day. Krogh remains the pilot today and in peak condition now, the mare can go one better here. Expect her (current) odds to drop by race time.
