Race 6:  No.7  BRIDIE’S LUCK

Albury trainer, Ron Stubbs saddles-up BRIDIE’S LUCK here who is returning from a city run and looks right at home in this contest. Last start, the Written Tycoon mare came off a big first-up win when she took on Class 3 company in a Highway Hcp at Randwick. Not disgraced, she finished mid-field in the 1000m sprint that day. Back to the country scene today, Jason Lyon is reunited with the mare (after steering her to that first-up win) and nicely drawn in gate four, she maps to settle just behind the speed with cover. Down sharply in grade today, and already a winner in this company, she will take a power of beating here.

Race 5:  No.7  TRIFECTA RUBY 

Local galloper, TRIFECTA RUBY has come back in top-shelf form and third-up today should take beating. Last start, the Winning Rupert mare came off a first-up maiden win when she beat all but one home in a BM58, here over 1000m with Holly Durnan aboard. After a pre-race incident, she was passed fit to run and came within half a length of victory that day. She drops in weight here and has Durnan steering the ship again. Having her fifth start on home soil today, a trouble-free run should see her as the one to beat in this contest.

Race 7:  No.9  OUR FRANKIE 

Local trainer, Doug Gorrel has OUR FRANKIE lining-up here who is in career-best form and looks a little ‘overs’ in this contest. The Mahisara mare has won two of her past three starts and finished third in the other, all on this track with Kayla Nisbet in the saddle on each occasion. Last start, she finished strongly to grab victory in a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m. She comes off a six-week let-up today as she faces Class 2 company for the first time. Nisbet remains the pilot here and from gate three, maps to settle in the first half-dozen. After four runs back, she should be at her peak for this assignment and looks well worth an each-way ticket today.
