BEST BET 🏆

Race 3:  No.1  DIP ME LID  ($3.10 with TAB)

Canberra galloper DIP ME LID is a regular visitor here and boasting a good record at the track, looks a real chance in this contest today. Last start, the Helmet gelding brought up his first win for this preparation when he took out a BM66 Hcp over 1800m on this track. Ridden a treat by Molly Bourke that day, she had him box-seating to the turn when he took over soon after and went on with job to score a comfortable win in the end. That made it three podium finishes from his past four starts. He boasts a win and three minor placings form his six visits to Wagga and with Molly Bourke in the saddle again today, he looks the one to beat.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6:  No.4  ZABELLSARERINGING  ($4 with Neds)

Gundagai galloper ZABELLSARERINGING has impressed at his only three race starts to date and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Zariz gelding came off a close-up third in a 1400m Maiden on this track when he stepped up to the mile (also on this track) and broke through for his first win. He ran the trip out, 7.9 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best last-start effort in this field today. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Molly Bourke was aboard for that win and remains aboard for today’s challenge. He has improved with every run so far and looks a genuine chance at back-to-back victories here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 2:  No.1  MAGNETIC  ($3.80 with Ladbrokes)

Team Corstens cross the border today and here they saddle-up MAGNETIC who resumes from a lengthy spell and looks well placed for a strong first-up run. Last start, the Press Statement gelding ended his last preparation, finishing just behind the placegetters in Open company at Dubbo. The five-year-old has a glowing resume when we look at track and first-up records. He has a win and two runner-up finishes from his three previous fresh starts and boasts two wins and a close-up second from three starts at Wagga. He gets weight relief from Jett Stanley’s claim today and looks a genuine winning chance here.
