Race 6 No. 5 OBSFUCATION- ($1.70)
Hard to go past OBSFUCATION in Race 6. The four-year-old has finished top three in all seven of his career starts and comes off a narrow runner-up performance behind Riverplate at Sandown on Decemeber 7 over the 1400m. Those two put a big gap on the rest and Obsfucation went 8.8 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any other runner in this race has produced. Barrier 5 and with Damien Thornton on board, the son of Holler should be hard to beat.

Race 7 No. 1 LORD PARAMOUNT- ($3)
LORD PARAMOUNT should be hard to beat in Race 7. The Maher/Eustace galloper has had two runs this time in and wasn’t far away at Canterbury in Sydney on December 9, finishing 4th behind Bugalugs. He drops back to the 1000m and was solid at the distance over the winter. He should find this class more to his liking and Harry Coffey might look to box seat from barrier 2.

Race 4 No. 14 TIZ MY BAY- ($4)
TIZ MY BAY can break through in Race 4 of the day. The four-year-old was costly as a $1.50 favourite at Mornington on December 13 when held up before battling into 6th position. That was her second run off a long break and her cause wasn’t helped as they absolutely crawled early on. The daughter of Cable Bay nearly won when resuming at Sale prior to that. Third up at her last preparation she produced a personal best by going four lenghts faster than standard benchmark when 3rd at Flemington. She can be excused for her last start effort and is a great chance of bouncing back here.
