Forgiving MORRISSY for his last start effort that saw him drop out of it over the 1600m at Moonee Valley on New Years Eve. The seven-year-old didn’t quite see out the mile behind Typhoon Harmony that day and had excuses as he was trapped wide and without cover the trip. Prior to that he was solid when going a healthy 11 lengths faster than standard when a close up 6th behind Niccolini Vito at Flemington. The locally trained galloper gets the blinkers back on and can bounce back.

Race 1 No. 1 RED FOX- ($3.60)
RED FOX can go close in the opener. The four-year-old has had the three career starts and was runner-up on debut before not quite handling the Heavy at Bairnsdale after that. He resumed at Terang on December 20 and stuck on well to to finish 4th behind Book Launch, going 5.9 lengths slower than standard, which is a better figure than what any runner in this race has produced.
