We see some early races for the hurdlers and steeplechasers. This is for the latter and NELSON can make an impression in Race 3. The nine-year-old has made an impression over the jumps and claimed an impressive victory at Coleraine last year. He comes into this with a couple of runs on the flat and has attracted support in the early betting.

Race 4 No. 7 RISING RENOWN- ($12.20) 

Best Value comes up in Race 4 and RISING RENOWN is worth thought at the each-way quote. He tackles a BenchMark 70 on the flat over the 3300m and closed off his last campaign with a win over the 3300m at Coleraine over the hurdles before placing 3rd at Ballarat. He resumed on the flat and placed 3rd at a big price behind Think ’N’ Fly over the 2200m. Step up in trip suits and he should be right in the mix at the business end.
