Race 5 No. 4 I SEE YOU COMING – ($2.45)

I SEE YOU COMING might be sticking with after a last start effort that saw him win at Casterton on June 12. The four-year-old hadn’t done much in his three runs earlier in his career but resumed off a six month break, taking control at the 400m mark to win running away by seven lengths. The Lindsey Smith-trained galloper went 2.4 lengths slower that day and heads into this fresh off a two month break. Early moves in the betting suggest that he should be ready.

Race 4 No. 1 ARMSTRONG BAY – ($1.55)

Short price but ARMSTRONG BAY should be winning this. Lock the Symon Wilde-trained galloper into multi’s for the day after his three career starts that have yielded two runner-up efforts, with those two coming at his current preparation. He missed out on the Heavy two starts ago behind Come Along Jeffrey with those two putting a seven length gap on the winner. At his most recent start, the son of Keep The Faith ran on strong to fill the runner-up slot behind Ivory’s Delight at Bendigo. He went 3.8 lengths slower than standard at Bendigo, while on the Heavy here he went 2.6 lengths faster than standard. Those figures are much better than what any of these have been producing and hard to see him missing out here.
