BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.6  CONFESS OUR  DREAMS

Unbeaten in three starts to date, the Brad Widdup-trained CONFESS OUR DREAMS has done all that has been asked of her so far and looks well placed here to keep the picket fence in tact today. Last start, the Shalaa filly took on city class company for the first time and made it look easy as she beat home a BM72 field of 12 over 1000m on Randwick’s Kensington track with Tommy Berry aboard. She drew the outside gate that day and settled three-deep outside the two leaders. Remaining wide as they turned, she took over soon after straightening and simply ran them off their legs, winning by 1.5 lengths on the line. Berry sticks with her for this assignment as she draws wide again today, but fitter for that first-up win, she will still prove hard to beat in this contest.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8:  No.4  SIR ARTIE

Team Snowden saddle-up SIR ARTIE here who is in top-shelf form of late and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Flying Artie gelding went back-to-back when he finished too strong for them in a BM72 Hcp over 1400m with his first look at the Randwick track. Josh Parr steered the ship that day and has the reins again for this assignment. The four-year-old is in career-best form, winning three of his past four starts and with a clear run to the line today, he can give this contest a real shake at odds,

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.2  CAPE BYRON

Unbeaten this time in, the Ciaron Maher-trained CAPE BYRON hasn’t missed a beat in two starts this preparation and looks set for a tilt at the hat-trick today. Last start, the Capitalist gelding made light work of his second-up run when he easily accounted for them in a BM66 over 1400m at Newcastle. We were on him that day as he crossed the line 1.5 lengths ahead of them as a $6.50 chance. Nash Rawiller is legged aboard today as he faces his first test in city class company. He has drawn wide (11) here but will get back anyway and settle in the second half of the field. The three-year-old is high flying for Maher and looks every chance of making it three-straight in this contest at good each-way odds.
