Race 5:  No.1  DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM  ($3.40 with Neds)

Local galloper, DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM, is in red-hot form of late and looks primed to bring up the hat-trick today. Last start, the Street Boss gelding made it back-to-back victories when he prevailed in a BM72 contest, here over the 1600m trip. He covered the final 600m, 8.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort in this field. He meets similar company today and loves the mile trip with three of his five career wins coming over this distance. Already a track and distance winner, he is ideally drawn here in gate three and maps to settle just behind the pace. In his current form, he looks the pick of the crop today.

Race 3:  No.4  FIELDING  ($3.70 with TAB)

The Damien Lane-trained FIELDING is second-up today and looks to have the edge in this contest. Last start, the Deep Field gelding was fresh off a 19-week break when he beat all but one home in a BM64, here over 1100m. He ran the trip out, 1.6 lengths quicker than benchmark, second-best only to Vegas Raider here (who is third-up and hasn’t won since breaking his maiden at Scone back in May). Zac Lloyd sticks with the four-year-old today who has placed twice in two previous second-up runs and has four top-two finishes from as many starts over the 1100m trip. Race-favourite (Hardware lane) is first-up here after a 19-week absence and is yet to finish top-three on Metropolitan tracks and looks unders in this contest. Fielding meets him 3.5kgs better at the weights and will strip fitter form that first-up run. We’ll run with him today.

Race 6:  No.10  TASHI  ($7.50 with Palmerbet)

The Team Snowden-trained TASHI is a promising filly who is yet to miss a top-three finish and looks all set here to continue that trend today. Out of a Street Cry mare, the Sebring filly is third-up today as she comes off a BM72 at Rosehill where she finished a gallant third over the 1200m trip. She ran that out, 6 lengths quicker than benchmark, a new personal best for her and the best in this line-up. Kerryn McEvoy has the reins for the first time as the filly makes her Warwick Farm debut today. She should be rock-hard fit after two runs back and drawn ideally in gate four, looks a prime contender for the major prize here at odds.
