BEST BET đ
Race 4:Â No.1Â KOUKLARAÂ ($3.50 with Unibet)
Local trainer, Joe Pride, saddles-up KOUKLARA here who is second-up and looks set for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the five-year-old mare resumed off an 18-week spell and on her fresh legs, came from well back to grab victory in a BM72 Hcp over 1300m at Rosehill. With Tyler Schiller aboard, she settled last of the eight and with just 54kgs on her back, managed to pass them all and take home first prize. She ran that out, 4.3 lengths quicker than benchmark, setting a new personal best and that was the best in this field by three lengths. She also recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. She meets similar company today and steps up to the mile where her resume shows five podium finishes from seven starts at the 1600m trip. She also boasts a win and two runner-up finishes from three previous second-up appearances which puts her high the list of winning chances today.

Race 3:Â No.2Â DUKE OF BUCKINGHAMÂ ($3.70 with Palmerbet)
Local Galloper DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM has found his mojo this preparation and looks well placed here to produce his best and take this contest out today. Last start, the Street Boss gelding carried a little more weight when dropping in grade at Wyong and it paid dividends for him as he took out a BM64 Hcp over the mile trip. He set a new personal best that day, covering the trip, 2.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort among these gallopers. He also posted the fastest final 800m, 600m and 400m sectionals for the race. Dylan Gibbons is aboard for the first time and after his claim, the five-year-old lines-up nicely at the weights. Ideally drawn in gate two, he maps to be box-seating on settling and now rock-hard fit after four runs this time in, he should prove hard to hold out.

Race 6:Â No.2Â WITH YOUR BLESSINGÂ ($4.60 with Ladbrokes)
Randwick trainer, John Thompson, saddles-up the lightly-raced WITH YOUR BLESSING here who is second-up and looks in the mix for victory today. Last start, the Vadamos gelding resumed off a lengthy 38-week absence and showing no signs of fatigue, came from well back to take out a BM68 over 900m at Newcastle. She drew gate 10 (of 10) and was trapped wide (without cover) to the turn, but still had enough left in the tank to hit the line first and take home the chocolates. He covered his final 600m, 4.1 lengths quicker than benchmark, second-best here behind Miss Fox who lines-up as one of his main rivals. Fitter for that first-up win, he can only improve with more racing and with a trouble-free run today, he looks to be a major player in this field.
