Race 7: No.4 ZATTASTAR ($5.50 with Palmerbet)
Sunshine Coast visitor ZATTASTAR sees the Warwick track for the first time today and fitter for two runs back, looks a prime candidate for victory. Last start, the Zoustar mare showed improvement, when second-up, she found the podium, finishing third in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m at Beaudesert. She held her own in the run home that day, covering her last 600m, 2.7 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up by more than 4 lengths. Placed third-up previously, she strips fitter here and with Corey Bayliss sticking with her, she can give this contest a real shake today.

Race 5: No.8 DON’T DISS AROUND ($6.50 with Neds)
Toowoomba galloper, DON’T DISS AROUND returns for a second crack at the Warwick track and third-up today, looks a strong winning chance in this line-up. Last start, the Dissident gelding looked in need of that run when finishing mid-field in a Class 2 Hcp over 1200m at Ipswich. Although missing a podium finish that day, he still managed to run out his last 600m, 4.3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. Georgina Cartwright was aboard that day and sticks with the four-year-old here. Fitter for two runs back, he is ideally drawn here in gate two and will be running on where it counts.

Race 2: No.9 HIDDEN SPRING ($16 with Ladbrokes)
Ipswich galloper HIDDEN SPRING is first-up today and on fresh legs, with the blinkers off, he could ‘spring’ a surprise here. Last start, the Hidden Dragon gelding was resuming from a 16-week break when he finished fifth in a BM58, here over the 800m sprint. He was then spelled again before returning to work in December where he won a Deagon barrier trial in Class 3 company. Today, he has a new rider with Kenji Yoshida taking the reins for the first time and from gate three, maps to be up near the speed. Already a winner on fresh legs and a two-time winner over the trip, he could give this field a real fright in the run home today.
