Race 9: No.12 DREAM PURSUER ($5 with Palmerbet)
Manfred Mann saddles-up DREAM PURSUER here who has just his second start on Hong Kong soil today but will strip fitter from his first-up run and should prove to be a worthy contender here. The Moshe gelding transferred across from the Rod Symons stables at Bendigo to find a new home in Hong Kong. After an 18-month break, he hit the trialling tracks and fared well, placing in all three trials, winning the most recent, comfortably. Three weeks ago, he had his first start, here at the Sha Tin track where he was far from disgraced, finishing a gallant fourth in the 13-strong field with Zac Purton at the helm. Beaten a length on the line, he ran the trip out, 4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up. He gets all the favours today, jumping from gate one and has Purton sticking with him as well. Already a winner when second-up, he will only benefit from that first-up run and with the gun draw here and at the weights, should prove hard to beat today.

Race 8: No.4 VOYAGE BUBBLE ($3.60 with bet365)
The Ricky Yui-trained VOYAGE BUBBLE has hit the tracks with a vengeance and looks well placed here to keep his consistency going today. The Deep Field gelding has had seven race starts to date, landing on the podium in six of those races. Last start, he lined-up in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1400m and after settling in the box-seat, ran into a little trouble when trying to get clear. Once out and in clean air, he ran home strongly, took the lead inside the final 100m but was grabbed near the post by one carrying 5.5kgs less and getting the decision with the lighter weight. All seven career runs have been here at Sha Tin and third-up today, he looms as a real threat to this field today.

Race 10: No.5 GALAXY WITNESS ($5 with Unibet)
The Caspar Fownes-trained GALAXY WITNESS has been knocking on the door for a win and today, gets his chance with a new rider on board. Last start, the Star Witness gelding was four-up when he claimed third prize in a Class 2 Hcp, here over 1200m. His stats shone brightly that day as they ran that trip in 1:07.4, which is really moving. He covered the event, 7.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field and he posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals as well. Since then, he trialled he two weeks ago, winning that comfortably. He steps-up to his pet distance today where he has two wins and a runner-up finish from four starts here and overall, he is a four-time winner at Sha Tin. Rock Hard fit after those runs, he will be finishing strongly here at the finish and is a genuine chance today at odds.
