Is There A Draw Bias in the Stradbroke Handicap?

When you see barrier 18 appearing as one of the most successful barriers in the Stradbroke Handicap, you can tell that there is probably no barrier draw bias in the race.

A lot of Queensland Group 1 features is the same as the Stradbroke Handicap; that is, they are very fair when it comes to barriers.

Horses have been able to win from a variety of gates and since Linton was successful in 2013, most of the winners have come from double figure barriers. We will see if this small trend continues, in which case it could lead to a bias, but it is unlikely that is the case at this stage.
