Overview
Pearler has been to Queanbeyan twice and won both times, and he came into this one off a win at his last start. On a seven-race Monday card short on proven horses, that is as close to a sure thing as the track offers, and it sits in the Bungendore Benchmark 58 at 3:20PM, right in the middle of the program.
These Queanbeyan racing tips cover all seven races on a Good to Soft surface, from the opening maiden at 1:35PM to the Benchmark 74 at 5:10PM. Three of the seven are for maidens, so form lines are thin early, and the course numbers carry most of the weight. J M Cleary has won with a third of 27 runners here, N J Olive has won with five of nine, and Feedback has finished in the first three at every one of her four Queanbeyan starts. Prices were open for the first three races when this was written and are quoted below. The last four markets had not opened.
What Queanbeyan gives us today
Four of today’s runners have three or more Queanbeyan starts, which is enough for a short table. Feedback is the standout. Delago Serg has placed in half his runs here, and Aquilino has a placing from three.

Pierre Boudvillain is the rider to watch for the wrong reason: six placings from ten rides here and still no win. His mounts are place bets until that changes. Cleary is the opposite, a trainer who converts.

Queanbeyan race by race
Race 1: One Pool Xtra Mdn Plate, 1:35PM, 1597m
Weekday Flyer is $2.00 with Bet Right on the strength of a second two starts ago, but he ran sixth last time and has only had three runs. That’s a short price for an unproven horse. Folsomprisonhooves has run second three times in his last four starts and placed in three of his five runs in the last three months. He is a three-year-old in a field of older maidens, and he keeps turning up.
Molly Bourke rides, with two wins from ten rides at Queanbeyan. At $4.20 with Bet Right, Folsomprisonhooves is the bet.
The value play is Aquilino. He ran second at his last start, has placed in three of his four runs over the last three months, and has a placing on the track. He is $7.50 with Bet Right. Weekday Flyer is the danger if the second two back was the real form.
Folsomprisonhooves to win. Aquilino each-way.
Race 2: Allbids Mdn Plate, 2:10PM, 1094m
Chumpakidd went fourth, sixth and then second at his last start, and that last run is the one that counts. MS J Taylor rides from barrier 5 over the shortest trip on the card, and at $2.35 with Bet Right he is the deserved favourite.
Entirely Oak has placed on both of his visits to Queanbeyan and finished third last time. Greg Stephens places two in every three runners he brings here without a win, and that profile, a horse and stable that keep running into the minor money, suits a quinella bet more than a win bet. He is $10.
Chumpakidd win. Entirely Oak to fill a place.
Race 3: Queanbeyan Cup 27 Nov Country Boosted Mdn Hcp, 2:45PM, 1312m
Two short-priced horses, two different cases. Head Capitalist ($2.35 with Unibet) has the recent run: second at his only start in the last three months. Spy Trader ($4.20 with Bet Right) has Q Krogh, who has placed on half of ten rides at the track.
Head Capitalist gets the vote. His form has the upward shape, fourth and seventh before that second, and Todd Smart places half his Queanbeyan runners. Sairyn Fawke rides.
Alotofsoju is the third horse in the market at $7.50 and carries one of the lightest weights. She has placed twice in four recent runs and is a good each-way alternative if the race falls apart.
Head Capitalist to win.
Race 4: Bungendore (Bm58), 3:20PM, 1750m
Pearler is unbeaten at Queanbeyan. Two runs, two wins, and he arrives off a win at his last start. In the last three months he has won twice from six runs and placed once more, and his trainer G R Nickson has sent three runners to this track for two wins.
That’s a horse who likes the place, a stable that targets it, and current form all pointing the same way. Molly Bourke rides from barrier 3, so he should be able to take up whatever spot Bourke wants. He won’t be a big price, but the profile is as clean as anything on Monday.
The danger is Take The Chance, who won two starts back and was third last time, with a win and two other placings from five recent runs. Amy McLucas has won four of 19 rides here. Rosary Sister has placed in three of her four recent runs but is also entered later in the day, and Big Time Charlie won three in a row before running ninth last time.
Pearler, win. Our NAP for the meeting.
Race 5: Sheridan Garage Doors Country Boosted Hcp (C3), 3:55PM, 1597m
Navajo Code has won his last two. Two runs in the last three months, two wins, and he tackles Class 3 looking for three straight. The rider’s Queanbeyan record is a blank, no placings from five rides, but the horse is doing the work.
Feedback is the horse the course table loves. Four runs at Queanbeyan, four times in the first three, and she won at her last start. Cleary trains, and Amy McLucas has won one of two rides for the stable here. If Navajo Code has found his level, Feedback is the one most likely to be there when he does.
Navajo Code to win, Feedback each-way. National Asset and Nagadec, the latter a last-start winner, round out the exotics.
Race 6: Tab Saver Hcp (C2), 4:35PM, 1094m
N J Olive has won with five of nine runners at Queanbeyan and placed with eight. That is the stable move to follow in this race. Patrika Express won on debut and ran second at her second start, and the scratching of Mrs Flanders and La Stiava has taken two of the stronger recent formlines out of the race.
Barrier 2 over 1094m means she can find the fence and stay out of trouble. She is the banker of the day for multis.
Travelon Dory is the danger. He won at his last start, draws the inside, and comes from the N J Osborne stable that places five of every six runners here. Absolutist won last time too.
Patrika Express to win.
Race 7: Carbids (Bm74), 5:10PM, 1312m
Christmas Star‘s last six read second, fourth, first, second, second, first. That is the best form line in the race by some way. The question is fitness: he has no runs recorded in the last three months, so he may be first up. Boudvillain rides.
Soul Lady is the Cleary runner in a small field, with MS J Taylor aboard. Rubi Air ran third last time and has Keatings, who has won four of 19 rides at Queanbeyan.
Hard to be confident given the absence. If he is ready, Christmas Star should win. Small win bet, with Rubi Air the each-way saver.

Where the money goes
NAP: Pearler (Race 4, 3:20PM). Two from two at Queanbeyan and a win last time out. The trainer’s record here says this was planned.
Value: Aquilino (Race 1, 1:35PM). Second last time, three placings from his last four runs, and $7.50 with Bet Right when this was written.
Banker: Patrika Express (Race 6, 4:35PM). A win and a second from two starts, an inside gate and a stable that wins with more than half its runners here.
Each-way: Feedback (Race 5, 3:55PM). Placed at every one of her four Queanbeyan starts and coming off a win.
Course angle: J M Cleary. Nine winners from 27 runners at this track. Feedback and Soul Lady carry the stable’s colours today, and either would fit a Queanbeyan best bets list.
If Nickson keeps finding races like this for Pearler, the Queanbeyan Cup meeting next month will be worth watching for the stable’s acceptances.
