Kris Lees and Andrew Mallyon team-up again here with GERETY who is four starts into this campaign and ready to produce her best today. Last start, the Capitalist filly put in her best effort yet, beating home all but one in a BM55 over 1050m at the Gold Coast. At her peak today, she is nicely drawn in gate four and maps to settle in the first half-dozen, possibly parked on the leader’s heels. She finished runner-up at her only previous start at the track and with a little luck in running today, she can go one better here.

Race 3:  No.4  MICKEY’S PRIDE  ($3.50 with Unibet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up MICKEY’S PRIDE here who is second-up and capable of taking out this event. Last start, the Sebring gelding was fresh off a four-month break when he finished mid-field in a BM58 Hcp over 1350m at Ipswich. Fitter for that run, he will appreciate the step-up in distance today as he is already a winner over the mile trip. Jag Guthmann-Chester is the pilot today and maps to settle back in the field again. With a trouble-free run here, watch for a big late finish from the four-year-old.

Race 5:  No.10  FAST LADY  ($4.60 with BoomBet)

The Kris Lees-trained FAST LADY is high flying this time in and looks poised to continue her good form in this contest. Last start, the Fast Choice mare made it four-straight podium finishes when she took home third prize in a Class 1 over 2000m at the Sunshine Coast. The pace was sound that day and settling outside the leader, took its toll in the end. She still fought on gamely, only denied second prize by a neck on the line. This looks a little easier today as Andrew Mallyon remains aboard for the assignment. From gate seven, the opportunity to settle with cover should be there today, giving and the four-year-old the chance to store some fuel for the finish. She is a genuine winning chance today.
