Last start, the Super One mare came off a 13-week spell when she finished strongly to grab third prize (beaten less than a length) in Open company over 1200m at Coffs Harbour with regular rider Anthony Allen on board. She is a two-time winner when second-up and has two victories at the 1200m trip as well. Drawn out in barrier eight today, she maps to settle mid-field with cover and with a trouble-free run here, she looks a solid winning chance.

The Stephen Lee-trained KIRSTEN sports a major gear change today and fitter for three runs back, looks a genuine winning chance here. Last start, the well-bred Capitalist mare did it tough outside the leader and did well to finish third in a in a Lismore Maiden over 1120m. The stable have gone for the blinkers today and drawn out here, she maps to take a sit behind the speed. Now three starts in, she should be at her peak for this and with Les Tilley sticking with her, she looks in the mix today.

Race 7:  No.9  EAGLEMONT  ($7.50 with Ladbrokes)

The Matt Dunn-trained EAGLEMONT comes off three-straight city gallops here and should find this contest a lot easier. Last start, the Camelot gelding came off a Class 3 Hwy Hcp win at Rosehill when he stepped-up to Class 6 company at Eagle Farm. With Ben Thompson aboard, he settled near last and gave them too much start, finishing mid-field, beaten just over two lengths on the line. He returns to the country scene today with Thompson in the saddle again. Already a two-time winner at the trip, if he can cross and find a sit near mid-field, he will get the last crack at them and be in contention where it matters. He looks a worthy investment at odds today.
