Race 1 No. 9 ROSABEEL- ($)

ROSABEEL can go close to breaking the Maiden in the opening race of the day at Tatura. The Busuttin/Young galloper resumed with a 5th behind Peschwa at Sale over the 1600m on September 11 coming from well back and producing the fastest 400m-200m before just peaking on her run. Second up last time she improved 17 lengths on benchmark figures when 3rd at Werribee over the 1600m, going 0.9 lengths faster than standard benchmark. That is better than what any horse in this race has produced. The daughter of Savabeel can go close.

Race 4 No. 6 SHRIYAA- ($)

Going with SHRIYAA in Race 4. The Maher/Eustace galloper battled on debut on the Ballarat Synthetic but was much better when stepping out at Warracknabeal on September 20, finishing 4th. She settled handy that day and just couldn’t quite reel them in late, going down by just over a length. The daughter of Vadamos went 5.7 lengths slower than standard, which are the best last start figures of any runner, while she should have scope for further improvement. Harry Coffey rides and just needs to negotiate the wide barrier early on.

Race 5 No. 7 SYCORAX- ($)

Plenty of wet weather in Victoria and we are likely to race on Soft or worse. SYCORAX was excellent on the Heavy 10 at Bendigo over the 1300m in a BenchMark 64 on September 21, finishing 3rd behind Mister Me. She was also runner-up on Soft going at that venue earlier in her preparation. The daughter of So You Think went 3.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark at Bendigo, which are the best last starts figures of any runner. Look for her to settle handy in this race and fight out the finish.
