Three-year-old filly Tuscan Queen is the $3.30 favourite to capture Saturday’s Group 1 Northerly Stakes (1800m) at Ascot.
Trained by Grant & Alana Williams, Tuscan Queen has won three of her four starts. She was a last start winner of the Group 3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m). Leading jockey William Pike will take the ride with Tuscan Queen to carry 50kg in the race.
Stablemate Regal Power is the second favourite at $8.50 after winning the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) on November 23. Pike rode the four-year-old gelding on that occasion; Damien Oliver will take the ride.
Godolphin’s Best Of Days, runner up in the Railway, is a $9.50 chance which is the same price as Superstorm.
Pacodali is next best at $14 ahead of Gatting at $15.
