The final field and barrier draw for the 2025 The Goodwood will be announced on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Barriers are generally conducted via a barrier draw event where connections or a representative of each runner will randomly choose an item from the front of the room; underneath each item will be the starting barrier number.
A mix of locals and interstate horses have captured The Goodwood over the years and none bigger than unbeaten champion sprinter Black Caviar who won The Goodwood in 2012.

Is There A Draw Bias in The Goodwood?
There is no barrier draw bias when it comes to Adelaide’s biggest race The Goodwood.
Winners have come from inside draws, middle draws and outside gates in The Goodwood over the past 40 years.
