Forbidden Love draws wide in Doncaster Mile
Doncaster Mile favourite Forbidden Love has drawn gate 14 as the final field and barrier draw was conducted on Tuesday morning.
Forbidden Love has been in rare form chalking up Group 1 weight-for-age victories at her past two runs in the Canterbury and George Ryder Stakes.
A fast run 1600m still remains a slight query for the Freedman-trained filly but she gets the services of premier jockey Jamie Kah and has the luxury of 50kg for Saturday’s $3million feature.
Last year’s winner Cascadian will start from barrier 18 with James McDonald in the saddle. Cascadian is looking to become the first horse since Sacred Falls in 2014 to win back to back Doncaster’s. The James Cummings-trained galloper only rises 3kg on what he carried in 2021.
US import Lighthouse won the Coolmore Classic and has gate 23 with Damian Lane set to partner the Maher-Eustace galloper.
WA mare Kissonallforcheeks drew well in barrier seven with Golden Eagle winner I’m Thunderstruck next to her in barrier eight.
