Form Jockeys – Last 7 Days
Here are the best performed jockeys across Australia over the past seven days.
Queensland hoop James Orman has enjoyed a stellar run winning more races than any jockey in the land at a strike rate of more than 40 per cent.
Jockey | Runners | Wins | S/R% | BEST RIDE THIS WEEKEND |
JAMES ORMAN | 24 | 10 | 42% | DOOMBEN R9 #10 SMART IMAGE |
CHRIS PARNHAM | 25 | 8 | 32% | ASCOT R4 #6 PREMIUM CHOICE |
JORDAN CHILDS | 24 | 7 | 29% | CRANBOURNE R3 #10 IS THIS LOVE |
HOLLY WATSON | 18 | 6 | 33% | ASCOT R1 #4 ACROMANTULA |
WILLIAM PIKE | 19 | 5 | 26% | RANDWICK R6 #2 GYPSY GODDESS |
Orman bagged four winners at Ipswich on Wednesday to take his weekly tally to 10, two more than WA’s Chris Parnham on eight in second place for winners nation-wide over the past week.
Orman has a host of rides at Doomben on Saturday but the market is saying the pick is Tony Gollan’s Smart Image in race nine while Parnham currently has five rides paying south of $3 on Saturday’s Ascot program.
Jordan Childs is next with seven winners at 29 per cent but isn’t riding on Saturday.
Holly Watson’s six winners from 18 rides sees her hit a peak in terms of winners and strike over a seven-day period. Like Parnham, Watson rides at Ascot on Saturday with the pick of her rides being Acromantula in the opener.
And it wouldn’t be a discussion of WA with the Wizard grabbing a mention. Willie Pike has started to shine in Sydney (bout the only thing that is!) with his cult-like following enjoying five winners from 19 tickets over the week.
Pike rides Gypsy Goddess for David Vandyke in the Australian Oaks.
