BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)

Race 5 No. 4 CAP DE JOIE- ($3.30)

Some promising types feature in Race 5 and it is CAP DE JOIE that should be hard to beat. The Nick Ryan-trained galloper was too good for them in a BenchMark 70 at Moonee Valley over the 1600m on March 24, clearing to a two length win from Aspen Colorado, while there was a five length gap back to 3rd. She doesn’t mind a track with a bit of give in it and might get that on Friday. At her last preparation, the daughter of Farhh was an improver on figures as she went through her preparation and I suspect that she might have more to offer.

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN)

Race 1 No.4 KARALEE ROCKS- ($3.40)

Going with the former Perth galloper, KARALEE ROCKS, in the opener. The four-year-old comes over to the Lindsey Smith stables and has won three of five. She was dominant when first up at her last preparation, winning at Ascot by four lengths over the 1200m, going 3.7 lengths faster than standard benchmark. The daughter of Flying Artie won again before letting down well for 3rd in a stronger race prior to the break. Damien Oliver rides and the pair draw perfectly in barrier 4.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6 No. 3 SO YOU SEE- ($6.50)

Race 6 is the Country Oaks over the 2200m journey and SO YOU SEE can give this a big shake. The Mike Moroney-trained galloper has been no match for Sirileo Miss at her past couple but has stuck on fairly in high ratings races and I suspect her formalines are superior. Deny Knowledge comes out of the same race but So You See is probably the one that most wants the distance and was solid just under a year ago in the Australasian Oaks (2000m). She gets to that range for the first time and should be strong at the business end of this race.
