BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.9  CAPICELLA

The Lauri Parker-trained CAPICELLA is second-up today and making the three-hour trip from Warwick Farm looks to remain unbeaten on the Queanbeyan track. Last start, the well-bred Capitalist filly was fresh off a 19-week absence when she did well to finish fourth in a BM64 over 1100m at Wyong. She drew the outside gate in the 12-strong field and was never on the track but still finished off well to be beaten just over two lengths on the line. Jess Taylor returns for her second ride on the filly today. A winner at her only start here (last preparation) and already a winner when second-up, she draws much better today in gate four and looks set to pounce here.

Race 4:  No.9  JULIETTE’S JOY

The Joe Cleary-trained JULIETTE’S JOY has her second start for the stable today and looks all set for a crack at back-to-back victories in this contest. Formerly with Lindsay Park camp, the well-bred Savabeel filly made an impact on debut for her new stable when she broke through for her first win, taking out a 1300m Maiden at Moruya. Ridden a treat by Kayla Nisbet, she came from near last on the turn and stormed home, arriving in time to collect the honours. Nisbet remains aboard today where the filly draws nicely in gate four and maps to settle near mid-field. At her peak here after four runs, the extra distance looks ideal for her now and a repeat of her last performance should see her challenging for another win today.

Race 5:  No.7  LADY REVOLUTION

Nick Olive saddles-up LADY REVOLUTION here for her second race-start where she looks every chance of remaining unbeaten today. Last start, the well-bred Russian Revolution filly made her racing debut and on a Heavy 8 that day, finished too strong for her rivals and claimed victory, here in a 1000m Maiden at set weights. With Quayde Krogh aboard, she missed the jump by a length but recovered to settle mid-field on the fence. In the run home, Krogh stuck to the rail and saving ground, she finished best to grab first prize on the line. Krogh sticks with her today and from gate five, maps to settle near mid-field again. First-up here, with fresh legs she can go back-to-back.
