Race 1 - BETTER YOUR BET WITH TABTOUCH 3YO MS PACE (2130m) – 7:24pm AEST
Best Bet 🏆No. 3 MR FANTASTIC $1.85 Bet Now!
The Justin Prentice-trained three-year-old colt MR FANTASTIC (Best odds $1.85 Neds) gets his chance to atone for a last start second placing as $1.18 favourite. He was a dominant winner at short odds at his WA debut before finishing second to a first starter called Kobe Edward. Hillview Bondi will sit in this class and either Orlando Blue, Mr Fantastic or Powerplay will be the leader. Mr Fantastic will most likely be charging off the gate trying to find the front and if he can lead, he will be extremely hard to heat. Otherwise, Gary Hall Jnr will try and receive some cover with the colt that looks an exciting prospect.
Race 5 - CATALANO TRUCK & EQUIPMENT MS PACE (2130m) – 9:24pm AEST
Best Value 💰No. 2 ALTA BLUES $6.50 Bet Now!
The Greg and Skye Bond stable have two leading chances in the form of Patronus Star and Mighty Conqueror engaged in the FFA. The stable has had mixed fortunes of late with several short-priced favourites getting rolled so based on that fact, the Gary Hall Snr barn may be able to spring an upset in the race. ALTA BLUES (Best odds $6.50 Ladbrokes) has shown a lot of talent so far with 10 wins from 18 starts and his last victory was arrogant to say the least. He will need some luck from barrier two in the small field but Gary Hall Jnr is the man that can do it if gaps open up. Alta Blues should run top three tonight, but we are hoping it is first place that he can snatch.
Race 8 - BRIDGE BAR OPEN AT GP EVERY AFL GAME DAY FILLIES & MARES MS PACE (2130m) – 11:00pm AEST
Next Best 🥈No. 5 BETTOR GET IT ON $2.80 Bet Now!
Another Justin Prentice and Gary Hall Jnr runner as they combine with four-year-old mare BETTOR GET IT ON (Best odds $2.80 TAB). She was unlucky in the Group 3 The Lombardo (2130m) at her last start when finishing third to Radiant Amber and Miss Limelight. Bettor Get It On has shown versatility in her brief racing career in Western Australia with wins coming from the lead and breeze positions. Five starts ago she was enormous in defeat when making a three-wide run which gives Junior options. Radiant Amber was a sit horse last start so it remains to be seen whether she wants to lead or hand up to a horse such as Bettor Get It On. Either way, the Prentice mare should run a big race.
