Inter Dominion Harness Tips – both pacing heats previewed

The final round of qualifying heats for the Inter Dominion will be held at Alexandra Park on Friday night.

Race 6 – IRT IDOM PACING CHAMPS H5 (2700m) – 6:24pm AEDT

It’s hard to go past series favourite Ultimate Sniper from the All Stars stable after two impressive heat victories so far. He was the horse that was being set for the Inter Dominion Championship and looks on track to capture the final.

Bookmakers haven’t missed Ultimate Sniper who is $1.40 from his second-row draw. That won’t mean too much as driver Natalie Rasmussen will make a forward move and get the position that she desires.
Chase Auckland has barrier one and looks a strong contender for second place again – he has been second in both heats and will likely surrender the lead in the run. Handing up is New Zealand’s favourite past time after all.

I don’t like any other horse in the race from their draws and happy to take an Exacta banking on Ultimate Sniper to beat Chase Auckland.

Race 8 – MATAMATA VET SERVICES IDOM PACING CHAMPS H6 (2700m) – 7:24pm AEDT

If they weren’t stablemates, I’d really like Cruz Bromac from barrier two but there is every chance he will surrender the lead to Thefixer. Despite that fact, $2.50 is a backable price about the in-form Mark Purdon-driven eight-year-old gelding.

Cruz Bromac may have a bunny to chase here and that will suit the New Zealand Cup winner just fine.

He has been runner up in both heats chasing home A G’s White Socks and Ultimate Sniper. With a good run tonight, he should be fighting out the finish.

Thefixer is an obvious danger from barrier four ahead of the rejuvenated A G’s White Socks.

Place claims to Star Galleria, Bling It On and Triple Eight.
