Duais Draws Outside Gate in Queen Elizabeth Stakes Bid
Champion mare Verry Elleegant has drawn barrier seven in her bid to go one better that she has in the two previous editions of the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
After an indifferent run first-up, Verry Elleegant bounced back with a barnstorming victory in the Chipping Norton Stakes but was beaten last time out in the Ranvet Stakes as the $1.24 favourite.
Three-year-old star Anamoe drew gate five and will be partnered by Tommy Berry.
All Star Mile winner Zaaki will start from gate three with Jamie Kah sticking with the import.
Tancred Stakes winner Duais was a late consideration for many punters after trainer Ed Cummings chose the QE over Sydney Cup and his mare will jump from gate nine.
