The flying Crystal Pegasus will jump from barrier 18 in Saturday’s Sydney Cup as champion trainer Chris Waller shoots for his sixth win in the grueling 3200m feature.

Crystal Pegasus has won his past four starts including the Listed Roy Higgins at Flemington and the Listed Mornington Cup last start, which guarantees him a spot in October’s Caulfield Cup.

Joe pride elected not to run Stockman in the Chairmans Quality last weekend and the tough gelding will start from barrier 13 this Saturday.
Stockman finished second to star mare Duais in the Tancred Stakes last start.

The Group 1 Sydney Cup [3200m] is worth $2million and the pre post favourite is Crystal Pegasus.
