Zaaki draws barrier 1 for the Canterbury Stakes
Undefeated Pinstriped draws 11 for the Group 1 Australian Guineas
A final field of 16 and two emergencies has been declared for Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington.
Pinstriped, who is undefeated and trained by Enver Jusufovic drew a sticky barrier and will have to jump from barrier 11 with Michael Dee in the saddle.
Three-year-old colt Hitotsu was last seen when winning the G1 Victoria Derby in dominant fashion and will jump from barrier 2 with John Allen keeping the ride.
Captivant who finished behind Pinstriped last start, will rely on Jamie Kah finding a spot through the early stages having drawn barrier 10, but will no doubt thrive stretching back out to the mile. The last time he raced over this trip was in the G1 Caulfield Guineas when he finished second behind Anamoe.
Forgot You finished fourth in that same race and drew barrier 6 to enhance his chances with the inform Mark Zahra in the saddle.
Pascero beat Captivant and Forgot You last start and will jump from barrier 7 for Trent Bussuttin and Natalie Young.
