STAR PERFORMER – CLEMENCEAU

Outstanding return and his figures are indicative of at least Group 2 level.

He’s beaten the class average by 5.4lens and his last 200m was nearly two lengths faster than the class average suggesting he could’ve gone faster overall.

He paraded like he needed the run and still floated around the bend a tad. There’s a stack of improvement and he’s already at a good level.

BEST FRESH? – AYRTON

Two of his three peaks have been while fresh around this distance range posing the question is he best kept fresh?

The target this autumn is the Doomben Cup over 2000m and its well documented he’s had issues.

This was an outstanding return and given his domestic rating he’d get into a Stradbroke Hcp on the minimum and that would make him very hard to beat if he posted a time rating like the one he did on Saturday.

Still on horses that are best whenfresh and that is definitely the case for NAJMATY, who excels at 1100m.
