BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.1  MANDERBOSS  ($4.20 with Ladbrokes

Team Joseph saddle-up MANDERBOSS here who is a home-track specialist and third-up today should be ready to show his best. Last start, the Vadamos gelding had the second of two Metropolitan runs where he drifted too far back and left with the job of ‘catch-up’ which took its toll in the run home as he finished unplaced in the BM78 Hcp over 1500m at Rosehill. Quayde Krogh was aboard for both city events and his 13 rides on the galloper to date, have resulted in three wins and four minor placings. Returning home today, Krogh sticks with him and from gate five, maps to settle near mid-field with cover. Already a two-time winner at the track and fitter for those two city runs, he should be nearing his peak now and will be a different horse on home soil today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2:  No.5  POKER DICE  ($4 with bet365)

Locally-trained by Keith Dryden, POKER DICE is in great touch this time in and looks every chance of going back-to-back today. Last start, the Casino Prince gelding was third-up when he clobbered his rivals in a Class 1/Maiden over 1900m, here on the synthetic track. With Jack Martin on board, he settled just off the pace and in the run home, had too many guns for them, crossing the line 2.5 lengths clear in the end. He is stepping up in grade today but has Martin sticking with him and at his peak here, he should prove hard to beat again.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.8  BIG IMPACT  ($8.10 with BoomBet)

Local galloper, BIG IMPACT, is third-up today and looks a genuine chance of going back-to-back here at odds. Last start, the Real Impact mare gave them a galloping lesson when she put almost two lengths on a Class 1 field over 1100m at Nowra. Drawn out in barrier eight that day, she settled mid-field (two off the fence) and coming off heels, she ended up in the middle of the track as they straightened. Once balanced, she showed a great turn of foot and had them all cover within 100m where she took over and bounded away for an easy win, eased over the final stages. She meets tougher opposition here and steps up in trip but going by that last performance, she shouldn’t have any problems handling those changes. Kayla Nisbet returns for her second ride on the mare where she draws gate four and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. A clear run to the line here should see her very hard to hold out today.
