BEST BET 🏆

Race 5:  No.5  TOO MUCH CLASS  ($3.20 with Unibet)

Scratched from the Murwillumbah meeting today to run here, the Jack Bruce-trained TOO MUCH CLASS also sees the poly track for the first time but is in great touch of late and looks a winning chance today. Last start, the Smart Missile mare proved too good for a BM62 field at the Gold Coast, winning the 1700m event by more than a length on the line. She covered the final 600m, 3.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. She also recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Drawn in gate three, she does no early work and looks to settle near mid-field. If she can handle the surface, a good drop in weight will help to see her fight this one out to the finish today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2:  No.4  MADAME MO  ($4.40 with BlueBet)

Chris Anderson saddles-up MADAME MO here who is second-up and sees the poly track for the first time today. Last start, the Uncle Mo mare resumed from a lengthy 20 week-break in the paddock and clearly in need of the run, finished mid-field in a BM62 Hcp, here on the turf track over 1200m. With Steph Thornton aboard, she ran home in even time without threatening. Nicely drawn here in gate three, she maps to settle just behind the pace and boasting an impressive second-up record, looks right in the mix here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.5  VANBLITZEM  ($5.50 with Palmertbet)

The Kelly Schweida-trained VANBLITZEM has the runs on the board here to suggest he will play a major role in the outcome of this event today. Last start, the Vancouver gelding was second-up this time in and galloping on the poly track for the first time, broke through for his maiden win in a tight finish. He ran the trip out, 6.7 lengths slower than benchmark, a new personal best for him and second-best in this line-up, behind Agent Of Mayhem (who ran second on this track last start). Kyle Wilson-Taylor has the job in saddle today as the four-year-old maps to settle just behind the pace. Fitter for two runs back, he is capable of figuring in the finish.
