Outside gates for All Aged Stakes leading contenders

2020 All Aged Stakes champion Tofane is one of 14 runners competing for $600,000 in prizemoney in Saturday’s 1400m feature at Royal Randwick.

The Michael Moroney-trained daughter of Ocean Park has been freshened following her 8th placing in the $5 million All Star Mile and will be looking to bounce back over her pet trip from gate 12.

Tofane has raced seven times over 1400m and racked up four wins and three placings – and with all four wins at Group 1 level.

Annabel Neasham’s Mo’unga beat Tofane home in the Futurity Stakes (1400m) where the pair finished 2nd and 3rd, and the son of Savabeel also boasts a strong record over 1400m with three wins and two placings from five attempts.

He has come up with barrier 9 with Tommy Berry in the saddle.

The in-form Forbidden Love was shooting for four in a row when being beaten 1.6 lengths in the Doncaster Mile, and she has drawn in gate 16 for jockey Hugh Bowman.

In The Congo crawled early last start and should have plenty left in the tank as he backs up a week later from barrier 10.

The son of Snitzel defeated Anamoe in the Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at his only attempt at the distance.
