Race 7:  No.4  COCO DREAMING  ($1.95 with Palmerbet)

Locally-trained by Angela Davies, COCO DREAMING is off to a flying start with her racing career and having her first start on home soil, looks the testing material today. Last start, the Pariah mare resumed after 18 weeks in the paddock and impressed when beating all but one home in a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at Wyong. Well ridden by Andrew Gibbons, she settled mid-field and finished strongly to grab that second prize. She will strip fitter for that run and the 1200m looks ideal for her today as the stable fit the tongue tie for the first time. Gibbins sticks with her and given a clear run to the line, she looks hard to hold out here.

Race 5:  No.1  FOUR O’CLOCK KNOCK  ($4.20 with bet365)

The Bjorn Baker-trained FOUR O’CLOCK KNOCK struggled at Wyong but dropping back in distance today, gets his chance to make amends here. Last start, the Sacred Falls gelding found the 2100m trip a bit too much for him as he finished down the track in the BM64 Hcp. He was cleared of any abnormalities after the race. He likes the mile trip, boasting a win and two runner-up finishes from four starts over the 1600m. Josh Parr returns for his second ride on the four-year-old who draws well in gate three today. Placed twice in three starts at Gosford, he looks better placed here and is a genuine player in this contest.

Race 6:  No.13  SHAKO  ($6 with Picklebet)

The James Cummings-trained SHAKO is second-up today and just needs a touch of luck from a wide draw to be a major contender for victory in this contest. Last start, the Epaulette gelding resumed off a lengthy seven-month absence where he settled three-wide (with cover) and was never on the track when finishing fourth in a BM64 over the short 900m sprint at Newcastle. Fitter for that first-up run, he draws wide again but maps to settle back in the field today. Tommy Berry is the new pilot today and if he can have the three-year-old close enough on straightening, the Godolphin galloper can figure here.
